Guided by a disciplined 65/35 focus, we invest in skills, health, safer ranks and rapid relief, with transparent governance so every rand delivers dignity and measurable impact.

The TS Getsemane Foundation stands with the drivers, marshals, vendors, washers, and security personnel who keep South Africa moving. We provide direct, meaningful support to strengthen your work and well-being. Our commitment is delivered through four key pillars:
Skills & Upliftment: Get trained and certified to advance your profession or grow your small business at the rank.
Health & Wellness: Access free mobile clinics, health screenings, and mental health support.
Safer Ranks & Roads: We improve rank infrastructure with better lighting, sanitation, and safe trading spaces, and provide essential resources for your work.
Rapid Relief: In times of crisis, we offer fast, confidential emergency support for medical, funeral, and other critical needs.
Through our Community Solidarity Fund, we also extend emergency aid to needy and destitute families in communities along major taxi routes, ensuring our impact ripples outwards.

Building a Foundation for Dignity & Safety
From funding to outcomes
Every rand is mapped from donation to delivery: needs are verified, programmes are co-designed with partners, services are deployed where they matter most, and outcomes are independently reported. The result is disciplined compassion—tangible improvements at ranks and along routes, and timely support for communities in crisis.
How to Access Our Support
We have designed a straightforward process to ensure help reaches those who need it most, with dignity and speed. If you are a member of the taxi ecosystem or from an adjacent community in crisis, here is how we can assist you:
1. Identification & Referral: You can be identified for support through our trusted network, including our Taxi Rank Advisory Council, partner associations (like UTDA), or verified community leaders. You may also be referred by a previous beneficiary.
2. Submission & Verification: Your situation will be submitted for review by our dedicated Grants Sub-Committee. We work to verify needs quickly and confidentially.
3. Rapid Decision & Payout: We are committed to fast decisions. For life-threatening emergencies, we aim to respond within 48 hours. For standard relief cases, our target is within 72 hours.
For urgent assistance, please approach a known community leader or rank representative who can liaise with our team on your behalf.

Independent Oversight: Our work is guided by an independent Board of Directors and an Audit & Risk Committee, ensuring strict financial controls and ethical practices.
The 65/35 Principle: We publicly commit to allocating at least 65% of all spending directly to our programmes, with a target of keeping administrative costs below 15%.
100% Ring-Fenced Donations: When you designate your gift for a specific purpose, we guarantee that 100% of your donation will be used exactly as you intended.
Public Reporting: We uphold total accountability through annual public reports that detail our finances, our impact, and our adherence to the 65/35 model.
